Play and Learn is a gentle memory game for young children, made to be enjoyed with a parent or carer. Flip two cards at a time and find the pairs: with pictures, with icons, or with words. In the Words game, every card is spoken aloud in English and in Mandarin, so little ones hear the language as they play.
Match each English word with its Mandarin word (中文). Every card is spoken aloud, slowly and twice, using sounds built into the app, so no extra Windows language needs installing.
Four levels, from a tiny 2 x 2 board up to 8 x 8, with more than 100 cheerful cartoon pictures to match.
Every game earns prize points to spend in the shop on outfits for a doll, a puppy, kitten or bunny, and furniture and toys for a four-room doll house.
Large, bright cards and easy choices make it simple for early-years children to play on their own. Matched pairs turn green, the dolls and pets are friendly, and there are short animated movies to watch in the house.
Each child can have their own nickname, prizes and scores. A friendly one-hour limit on each play session ends with a break screen. There are no adverts, no purchases and no internet connection needed.

Play and Learn does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind, and there is no account or sign-in. It does not use the internet at all: the only things it remembers are the nicknames, scores and prizes typed or earned on your own device, and they never leave it.
Play and Learn: Early Years Edition (“the app”) is a matching game for young children that teaches English and Mandarin words. It is published by Coolin & Serversoup for Windows (Microsoft Store). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information. It is written in plain language because the app is made for young children and their parents or carers.
The app does not collect, transmit or share any personal data with the developer or any third party. It does not connect to the internet. It has no accounts, no advertising, no purchases and no analytics or tracking. Everything the app remembers stays on your own device.
The app stores the following on your device only, in the app’s own private storage:
We recommend that children use a nickname or first name only, not a full name. This information never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
The app does not send or receive anything over the internet or your network. The videos, pictures and word lists it uses are part of the app itself.
The spoken English and Mandarin words are sound files that come with the app and are played on your device. The app does not record sound and does not use the microphone.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.
The app is designed for young children, to be used together with a parent or carer. Because it does not collect personal information and does not use the internet, there is no information about a child for the developer to hold, use or share. There are no adverts, no links out of the app and no purchases.
The app includes no third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. The Microsoft Store may collect standard install and crash statistics under its own privacy policy; the developer receives only aggregated reports from the store.
Everything the app remembers is kept on your device only. To remove it all, uninstall the app from Windows (Settings, then Apps).
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new “last updated” date.
